Story of Vivekananda House at Texas A&M
The Vivekananda House at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX was founded and inaugurated in August 2023, becoming the first Vivekananda House in the state of Texas and the entire Southwest region of Hindu YUVA. It is a center of activity for Hindu students on the university campus, serving as the location for the broader Hindu community in the Bryan/College Station area that fosters community and celebration. It is a 10-minute walk from the northern edge of campus in a residential neighborhood just behind the main University Drive.

To date, the Vivekananda House has hosted many events such as the Ram Mandir Inauguration, Diwali, and Watch Parties for Cricket World Cup & Super Bowl, many of which were only made possible by having an independent facility that is easily accessible and always open. In addition, Vivekananda House has hosted game nights, movie showings, bhajan sandhyas, and potlucks, which help bring people together under one roof and connect while having fun.
